"Strike up the
Band"
The Squadronaires Orchestra
Remember the original Royal Air Force Squadronaires from the 1940's ? Can we now introduce to you the Squadronaires Orchestra and Singers. based on the wartime
orchestra, the band consists of young musicians, as they looked then - no long hair or earrings -
okaying the SWING music of the era, as it was played then ! All the guys are dressed in wartime style RAF uniform. The new on stage visual appearance of the orchestra is enhanced with the backdrop of flags and RAF ensign, and the RAF style (red / white / blue with roundel) band desks. Playing the music of the great Swing Bands including Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Harry James, Benny Goodman, The Sinatra hits and many more ... If required, we can 'dress out' the whole venue in a 1940's style -
either an underground 'bunker' complete with stage and dancefloor, or as a large 1940's style dance
hall. The new Squadronaires Orchestra is operated by the same organisation which manages the world famous "Memphis Belle Swing Orchestra" and so you can be assured of top quality entertainment and professionalism. The Squadronaires Orchestra are available as a 13 or 17 piece outfit to suit your budget. |
